  • Flights 7-9: climb to 300 metres, figure-eights, S-turns, and landing within 50 metres
  • Flights 10-12: climb to 450 metres, 360-degree turns, manoeuvres, and landing within 25 metres
  • Flight 13: in-flight engine restart, precision manoeuvres, and landing within 25 metres
  • Flight 14: 10 km out-and-return cross-country flight
  • Flight 15: 30 km cross-country flight

Course content

  • 15 supervised advanced training flights
  • Flights 1-3: safe low-level flight at no less than one metre and powered spot landing within 10 metres
  • Flights 4-6: touch-and-go followed by an engine-off spot landing within 5 metres
  • Flights 7-9: climb to 600 metres, engine-off 360s, wingovers, and a swoop landing within 10 metres
  • Flights 10-12: thermalling from 600 metres and an engine-off landing within 10 metres
  • Flight 13: reflex-system operation and a 10 km flight using tip steering and speed bar above 150 metres
  • Flight 14: 20 km cross-country flight
  • Flight 15: 30 km cross-country flight
